Apology

On Sunday, July 16, smh.com.au published a story with the headline “Nine-year-olds cheating on entrance exams as pressure mounts for opportunity classes”, accompanied by a photograph of a nine-year-old boy.

We want to clarify that the headline had nothing to do with the boy in the photograph, who was yet to sit the test, as clearly mentioned in the story.

The Sun-Herald apologises unreservedly to the family for the hurt and distress caused by the error.
